What Happens at a First Visit?
Your First Visit takes approximately 60 minutes and gives us time to:
1. Listen
We’ll listen to what has been happening, your concerns and how your symptoms are affecting you.
2. Assess
We’ll ask about your relevant health history and carry out an appropriate physical assessment.
3. Explain and discuss
Your practitioner will explain their findings, answer your questions and discuss the options available.
4. Treatment, if appropriate
Your first treatment may be provided if it is appropriate and you are happy to proceed.
Chiropractic or osteopathy?
You don’t need to choose perfectly. Chiropractic and osteopathy are both regulated healthcare professions, with considerable overlap. The practitioner’s experience and approach often matter more than their professional title, and we can redirect you within the team if needed.
What if we’re not the right place?
We’ll tell you honestly. If we don’t believe treatment at The Hive Health is appropriate, we’ll explain why and help you understand the next step. This may include advice, signposting or referral to another healthcare professional or service.
