Laser - What To Expect

We've added some information below about what to expect when booking in for a Lightforce Laser appointment, as well as some common questions. If there's any other questions please don't hesitate to get in touch with us.

  • Lightforce Laser - First Visit (What To Expect)

If it is your first time coming to the clinic you will have a First Visit appointment. This is so that we can gain a clear understanding of your what has brought you in to see us, and to check other factors such as your general medical history.

During the First Visit we also do a comprehensive examination to determine whether other factors might be present, and what our treatment approach will involve.

All of our practitioners have had full training in using the Lightforce Laser. If we think that it will be of benefit to you, your practitioner will explain why and what we aim to achieve by using it. The Lightforce Laser Therapy can be used as an add on to treatment, or as a standalone Therapy. With most conditions we find the best results when used in conjunction with manual treatment.

  • Lightforce Laser - Treatment (What To Expect)

Your practitioner will develop a specific plan of care based on you. With the Lightforce Laser aspect of the treatment, patients generally see results after 3-5 treatments.

Chronic conditions (ones which have been there for longer) tend to require more therapy than acute (newer conditions).

If we are doing a combination of manual treatment coupled with Lightforce Laser treatment, your practitioner will incorporate it into the plan.

  • How much does it cost?

The first Lightforce Laser treatment (if indicated) is included in the First Visit cost (£59). This is also subject to availability.

Subsequent sessions can be added to a chiropractic/osteopath treatment session for a supplement of £13 (£50 total session visit), or Lightforce laser sessions can be taken as individual sessions of £30 per session.

  • What should I wear?

If we are using the Lightforce Laser, the laser needs to be used directly on the skin. When possible please bring loose fitting clothing which allows easy access to the area. We also have gowns in clinic if needed.
